Description:	The purpose of Golden West is to promote aviation education and safety by holding an annual EAA Regional Fly-in. Golden West strives to present aviation at its best in a venue that provides a fun and educational outing for the entire family. Some of the activities you will find at the Golden West EAA Regional Fly-In include: A close up look at hundreds of aircraft including, homebuilts, antiques, aerobatic, ultralights, hot air balloons, racers, WWII warbirds and current military aircraft. If it flies it comes to Golden West. Only at an EAA Fly-in can you get this close to this variety of aircraft. Talk to the owner/pilots, peek inside and maybe even take a ride! See new aircraft from General Aviation, Kit and Sport Plane manufacturers. For Kid’s there are hands-on workshops where they learn about the mechanics of flight, construction projects where they experience how airplanes are made, and for those kids 8-17, free Young Eagle rides where they live the dream of flight. Exciting aerial demonstrations and low-level fly-bys each day. An aerobatic airshow on Saturday with lots of smoke and noise and thrills. The latest from avionics manufacturers, in aviation software.
